The China Import and Export Fair (The China Import and Export Fair, referred to as: Canton Fair), founded on April 25, 1957, is held in Guangzhou every spring and autumn, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, China’s foreign trade Center undertakes. It is the most comprehensive international trade event in China with the longest history, the highest level, the largest scale, the most complete variety of goods, the largest number of buyers at the meeting, the widest distribution of country regions, and the best transaction results. It is known as "China's first exhibition ".
On April 7, 2020, Premier Li Keqiang presided over the executive meeting of the State Council. In response to the severe situation of the global epidemic, the meeting decided that the 127th China Import and Export Fair will be held online from June 15-24. On June 15th, an online launching ceremony is planned to invite senior government officials and well-known entrepreneurs to connect simultaneously.
As of 5 pm Beijing time on June 24, the ten-day 127th Canton Fair successfully concluded. The first online Canton Fair under the theme of "Canton Fair Cloud, Mutual Benefit World" played an important role in expanding the market and securing market share with the help of cloud carriers.
It is understood that the current Canton Fair attracted overseas buyers from 217 countries and regions to register for the exhibition, and the distribution of buyers from the source reached a historical record. Numerous global debuts and new products from the Canton Fair were unveiled. Nearly 26,000 domestic and foreign exhibitors uploaded massive exhibits through graphics, video, 3D, and other forms.
1. The pre-stage live room construction and exhibit preparation are too rushed: the online exhibition preparation time is insufficient, the live room construction is unreasonable, and the exhibits cannot be highlighted during the live broadcast, which is not attractive to buyers;
2. Lack of effective marketing promotion: unable to drain from social media such as Google, Facebook and offline channels, and insufficient exposure in early promotion;
3. Fear and poor interaction of foreign trade live broadcast personnel: Business personnel faced the live broadcast scene fright, the product selling point is unclear, and there is a lack of effective interaction;
4. Unable to save the buyer's information: Compared with the offline business card exchange, the online capital retention process is more complicated and inefficient;
5. Low traffic conversion rate: Judging from the number of real-time interactions in the live broadcast room and the number of follower registrations, the number of overseas buyers who actually watch the live broadcast is relatively small, with a high bounce rate and low conversion rate;
6. 24-hour live broadcast consumes physical strength: Long-term, high-frequency live broadcast is a test for the physical strength and energy of the operation team. The anchor often yawns and loses energy, which affects the viewing experience of the live broadcast room.
